Reviews will be slowing down

Posted by Manders' Reviews

A few days ago, I found out that I do have ULE- or ulnar nerve entrapment. The symptoms started as my pinky finger and half of my ring finger falling ‘asleep.” Well, the feeling of that anyways, as well as some tingling (as it does when your foot ‘wakes up.’) Then, as the days started to go by, I felt a sharp pain in my elbow when I would press my pinky hard against something. I felt that this wasn’t normal.

In order to keep it from getting worse, I must take care of myself. That means, I won't be able to hold the contest until I get better. I will update if/when things change- for the better, or if they have to resort to surgery (which I hope not!!!) So keep checking back, okay?

KITCHEN TOOL: Fight The Onion! Onion Goggles

Posted by Manders' Reviews in ,

I know, these goggles look almost like aviator glasses- but they're not! In fact, they are goggles to help you from tearing up when you cut/peel onions.

I received these from a contest I had entered, and at first, I was weary about wearing them. I had no idea if they would really work, or how comfortable they would. Now, I put these babies on before I even touch the onion!

They help to stop the gases that the onions produce that makes you tear up. Good thing? YES!!! Also, they sit comfortably on your face, so there's really no discomfort when you wear them. These goggles may even be helpful if you have pets and need to clean their 'bathroom.' So, even though they ARE designed for chopping/peeling onions, they can be used for just about everything that makes you tear up (sorry, romance movies don't fit this area...)

You can find them at Delight.com and they sell there for $18.75. For a direct link to the goggles, here you go... Fight The Onion! Onion Goggles

They do not only come in green and white, they also have pink and white. So, if you don't like pink/green, there's an alternative!

ENERY DRINK REVIEW: 6 Hour Power

Posted by Manders' Reviews in ,

The brand ambassador for 6 Hour Power suggested this not too long ago, and i'm glad they did!!! A few days ago I went out and bought some, and now i'm hooked!! I'm sorry 5 Hour Energy, these energy shots have blown you out of the water!

First off, the taste is impeccable! It tastes great cold or room temperature. There's really no need to refrigerate before drinking, but only if you like your energy drinks cold. There's no bitterness or aftertaste- which we all love!! You won't be disappointed at all when it first touches your lips!

Many energy drink companies claim that their product will give you long-lasting, and usually, they don't deliver. 6 Hour Power does deliver the energy, and there's no crashing afterwards. After taking a few sips and waiting 5 minutes, I start feeling a little bit more energized than I had before. I was finally able to do some housework I was avoiding. Usually, some energy drinks will make me so energized I feel like a ping pong ball, then I will crash like a roller coaster. With this, after it had worn off, I felt relaxed!

6 Hour Power can be purchased any where where energy drinks are sold, and they're not that expensive. They can run anywhere from $4 to $8. In fact, it's a very good investment! In fact, here's a website where you can learn more about 6 Hour Power: http://www.6hrpower.com/

And thank you once again brand ambassador for suggesting this!!

Just a heads up

LIP BALM REVIEW: Nerds Grape & Strawberry Flavor Lip Balm

Posted by Manders' Reviews

OK, so I don't have an actual picture of the lip balm, but it DOES exist. This can be found just about anywhere... from Wal-Mart to Target to even online. As far as how much they sell for, it really depends on the place you go. They can go anywhere from $1.50 to $2.00. I know you're thinking "$2.00 for a small stick of lip balm?" However, before you go into irrational thinking, take my experience.

My dad brought this home and I was having very badly chapped lips to the lack of water I was drinking. So, I applied this and then licked my lips. If you don't remember what Nerds taste like, you will when you get a taste of this! Other than the same lip balmy taste, it does taste like strawberry and grape Nerds! Once you put this on your lips, you'll be licking it off in 5 minutes time then reapplying it. Whoever happens to kiss you (boyfriend/husband/fiance/etc) will be reminded of their childhood as well.

Even though the warning label on it says that it should not be eaten, the taste makes you want to just bite into it- even though you know it'd taste terrible (the lip balmy flavor takes over, believe me.) It just takes you down memory lane to when you tried the candy for the first time ever. Now, who doesn't like a great memory like that?

As for if it takes care of chapped lips? I don't know! I've never had it on long enough to tell! If you can keep your tongue off of your lips, then you might be able to get rid of those chapped lips. If I had the money, i'd buy 30,000 of these and just give them to everyone who wanted one. Who knows? Maybe in the future that might actually happen. Until then, you might as well dish out the $1.50 to get you on. Believe me, you won't be disappointed- I know i'm not!

SNACK REVIEW: Betty Crocker Warm Delights

Posted by Manders' Reviews in , , ,

You see them in the stores and they make you drool! If you're looking for a quick and easy chocolate snack/dessert, then these are perfect!! They come in many different flavors, and are super easy to fix!

I received one in the mail yesterday, and decided to make it as quickly as I could! The directions on the box are easy to follow. You open the cake batter (it's the clear bag,) then after you pour it into the bowl, add a little water. If you add too much, it won't come out right. Since there are many different flavors, the next step may differ. I had gotten the Molten Chocolate Cake, so if you have that, you open the icing bag (which is very yummy!) and add it to the cake batter. After it's all put together, put it in the microwave. When it's done, eat away! It comes out almost as good as a store-bought cake mix. Plus, it doesn't take hours to bake! Also, it tastes great with ice cream (although they suggest vanilla, use your own favorite!)

I have to say, these are the best mini cakes out there! The taste and texture are PERFECT! It's almost like have a party on your taste buds. If I could, I would buy a million of those just to keep on hand. It's that easy, and that good!

So, should you go out and buy 20? If you've got the money....YES!!!

ENERGY DRINK REVIEW: 5-Hour Energy

Posted by Manders' Reviews

A few weeks ago, my sister received 2 bottles of the 5-hour Energy drink. She would keep telling me that if I ever needed to stay awake (which often times I d0), I could have one of her bottles.

First, let met tell you that they now come in flavors such as Cherry and Orange. You can find more information by visiting: http://www.5hourenergy.com/index.asp. It seems to be a very informative website- which I love. If it wasn't informative, I would have thought something was wrong.

Now, it's time for my experience with the energy drink. Tonight, I decided to take her Orange flavor, because her significant other chose the other one earlier in the day. So, I open it up and take a big swig of it. Let me just tell you now that the orange flavor tastes like very bitter and hot apple juice. I try to take another one, but it just tasted so bad that I couldn't. I ended up giving the rest to my sister. I don't even think she liked that flavor too much! So now we know that we won't choose that flavor, unless we put in the refrigerator first... then maybe, just maybe, it'll taste better.

I must say that it does give you that energy quickly!! It will allow you to get things done quick! Right now, I feel like doing cartwheels even though I know i'll break a bone or something in the house! I mean, don't you have times when you have no energy to even get off the couch? 5-Hour Energy can help with that!

There is 1 side effect: Stomach aches! If you've never had an energy drink, this might be the reason, or the Niacin that is also in it. There is a CAUTION disclaimer on there, so before drinking it, read that and then decide if it's for you. If you believe you have an allergic reaction to the Niacin, you might want to try some vitamin water (which I love!!.)

So, the 5-Hour Energy drink receives 4 out of 5 stars. I think that's pretty good, don't ya think?
